Recovery from loss is accomplished by discovering and completing all of the undelivered communications that accrue in relationships. We are all advised to “Let Go,” and “Move On” after losses of all kinds. Most of us would do that if we knew how.
The Grief Recovery Method® is an evidenced-based program that provides the correct action choices that help people move beyond the pain caused by loss. Certified as a Grief Recovery Specialist, I offer The Grief Recover Method® for individuals and groups which serves to help people move beyond the pain caused by loss. Spanning over 7-8 weeks, the program, offered in person and online, creates a safe environment in which to look at old beliefs about dealing with loss; to look at what losses have affected your life; and to take new actions which lead to completion of the pain attached to one of those losses.
Healing Our Grieving Hearts also offers Helping Children with Loss and Pet Loss programs. All programs are available in groups and individually, and in-person and online formats.
Using various energy healing modalities, Life Force Coaching is designed to ignite the life force within you. As we are all made up of energy, we often experience blocks in our life force that prevent us from getting "unstuck" from negative situations in our lives. Coaching helps in gaining new perspectives and achieving balance thereby allowing new ideas to come forth. It involves examining the various areas of your life, defining your "why" in your new life, and replacing old thought patterns with new ones.
Certified as a Life Force Coach, my sessions with you will focus on your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs. We will explore your grief, losses, and goals for moving forward. We will incorporate the dimensions of wellness to establish a plan that is right for you, which many include mindfulness and meditation, journaling, and/or energy healing practices including Qigong and the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT).
As a meditation facilitator and daily mindfulness and meditation practitioner, I may lead you in a guided meditation, or provide you with access to a guided meditation that allows for clearing of the mind and help instill a sense of inner peace and tranquility. Mindfulness is a practice of being aware of the present moment without judgment. During stressful situations and health crises, such as with chronic or life-limiting illness, mindfulness instills a sense of calm and peace in the place of fear and anxiety. Mindfulness practices can be formal, such as meditation or yoga, or can be informal. Informal mindfulness practices may simply be staying present and mindful of everyday moments as they are happening, such as in conversation, driving, or doing daily activities. As a client, we will explore mindfulness practices you can implement into your daily life.
Energy healing, also referred to as alternative therapy, consists of any treatment or therapy that is not considered standard practice in conventional or Western medicine. As our bodies are made up of energy, negative situations such as stress, grief, illness, environmental toxins, medications, and poor nutrition can disrupt our energy flow or "Life Force." These blockages can lead to illnesses such as depression, anxiety, sleep disorders, heart disease, and even cancer. Energy healing helps to unblock the energy flows thereby creating balance and restoring our bodies to their natural state of homeostasis. Energy healing modalities include a vast array of therapies to achieve wellness such as the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT/Tapping), Reiki, The Emotion Code®, or forms of martial arts such as QiGong and Tai Chi. Additional alternative therapies include meditation, aromatherapy, functional medicine, and yoga.
Qigong is an ancient and beautiful form of martial arts. It uses movement and meditation to clear energy blocks that can be the root cause of many physical issues and ailments. It is also highly beneficial to those experiencing emotional challenges such as grief and loss.
Certified as an Instructor in Satori Qigong - The Flow Form, Dr. Kay will guide you through movements that will open up and clear energy blocks in the body while strengthening the vital life force energy that keeps us strong, healthy, and vibrant.
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It has been around since the early 1900s. The word Reiki comes from two Japanese words: Rei and Ki. Rei can be interpreted to mean higher knowledge, spiritual wisdom, or God-Consciousness. Ki, on the other hand, is our life energy or life force. Therefore, Reiki can be interpreted to mean spiritually guided life energy.
Just as we are all made up of energy, Reiki uses the body's energy to heal by placing hands on the affected area. The Reiki practitioner is essentially a channel of energy flowing from Source to Client. Please contact me to schedule a personal Reiki session.
The Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is an energy healing modality similar to acupuncture, but without the use of needles. It is a non-invasive practice using tapping on meridian points on the body to open blockages in our energy bodies. We are all made up of energy and stress, traumatic events, and health issues can create blockages in our energy bodies that keep us stuck and in that perpetual feeling of bondage from our emotions. Energy blockages can cause pain and discomfort, anxiety and depression, fear and isolation, and chronic illness. As a certified EFT/Meridian Energy Practitioner, I can help you open up the blockages that are keeping you stuck so you can achieve balance and well-being.
